The Earth has already seen this year, sharp increases in earthquakes, volcanic activity, and weakened magnetosphere. Is there a connection with astronomical forces and is there likely worse to come?
In 1983, the Washington Post announced the strange discovery of
"Planet X"
by NASA using their new infrared telescope, IRAS, which can detect very low temperatures of dark celestial objects. At the time, the object was very distant
but moving very fast toward us. Today, it has been alleged to lie very nearby, between the orbits of Jupiter and Mars!
Planet X in the Media and Literature
News of NASA's stunning discovery fizzled out within two years, the topic remaining silent. Then, two and a half decades later, in December 2010 they finally admitted to
the existence of such a massive star.

Note that the implication is, the object exists but is too far away. Also note a variety of names have been assigned to it.
Some people believe that a looming crisis is overlooked by the authorities and mainstream media. Alternative media, such as
Larouche (video) discuss the issue of Earth changes as an astronomical problem and a
breakdown of political will.
A recent scientific paper by Lorenzo Iorio (2011)
acknowledges that lunar and planetary orbital perturbations
can be explained in terms of a viable candidate - a distant massive object, which they
refer to by the various names Planet X/ Nemesis/ Tyche.
Planet X is a Brown Dwarf?
A few people theorize that the object is actually a massive brown dwarf,
a binary companion star to our own sun, which may explain
unanswered questions on earth.
Binary stars are very common in the universe, occurring about 80% of the time. Brown dwarfs are very cold objects, being only about 40 degrees above absolute zero, and
thus when very distant, they cannot be observed with an ordinary light telescope.
It is interesting that Sumerians knew of a tenth planet and called it 'Nibiru'. Actually, it was a twelfth planet since they called the sun and the moon a "planet".
So according to
Bad Astronomy
, this means that the Sumerians referred to a star and not our solar system, and no rogue giant planet is about to destroy the Earth.
The ancients gave us a clue about earlier extinctions on Earth from their
cave drawings
indicating that a star with the appearance of a spiral gave people concern to move higher up the ground into the mountains.

The topic of Nibiru is controversial and there seems to be much confusion about whether Planet X is a distinct object or is another candidate celestial object.
It could be the brown dwarf shown as a
'Dead Star' in the 1987 New Science and Invention
Encyclopaedia.
Location of Planet X
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has produced an interactive orbit diagram that anyone can use to monitor any celestial object. Proponents think that
comet ELENIN is a code word (ELE = Extinction Level Event, NIN = 9) for one of the satellites orbiting the brown dwarf. Its highly
elliptical orbit around the sun is used to monitor the approach of the binary star.
In that case, as of today's date, the brown dwarf is only 1.8 AU away from the Earth.
Comet Elenin's Orbit - As Elenin is itself orbiting around the brown dwarf, this approach is also for the brown dwarf.
Note: 1 AU (Astronomical Unit) is the distance from the Earth to the Sun

Discussion: Is Planet X Aready Here?
Is a brown dwarf really coming our way this year? It is a difficult question when we can't be sure of all the facts and we are dealing with hypothesis. A
doomsday scenario has been put forward before and turned out to be false (
Planet X The Sequel, Ken Adachi, 2004). Consider the
year 2000 Y2K bug scenario, it turned out to be no problem at all. However, here we should be on our guard and watch the skies for any signs. If there is any
substance to this story, the so-called rogue planet/star should become more evidently visible to the naked eye, sometime in July/August or is the whole thing
